Our story

Chalkboard Clothing is a school uniform supplier based in the Western Cape, run by Maryke Stain and her team. We make it easy for parents to get the right uniform, in the right size, without the back-to-school queues.

Every school year starts the same way: a fresh chalkboard, new faces, and a long list of things to buy. Maryke saw how much stress that list put on families, from hunting for the right badge to standing in queues for sizes that had already run out. So she started Chalkboard Clothing with a simple idea: make the school uniform the easiest thing on the list. The name comes from the classroom itself, the place every new beginning starts, and the two little chalk figures in our logo are a reminder of who it’s all for.

We supply the official Apex school uniform: blazers, cardigans, rain jackets, ties, sunhats and beanies, each carrying the Apex badge. Parents order online, and we hand every order out at the learner's school, at no extra cost.
